DESCRIPTION 5” Line voltage 120V New Construction Airtight Housing. Can be in direct contact with insulation. Ideal for general, accent and task lighting. FEATURES - UL / cUL listed for damp location, feed-through wiring, and direct contact with insulation - Thermally protected against misuse of insulation materials and improper lamping - Sealed housing to prevent airflow from air conditioned or heated areas into ceiling - Housing adjusts to accomodate various ceiling thickness - Loose socket - Can be dimmed using standard incandescent dimmer HOUSING Aluminum housing is vertically adjustable (up to 1”), which allows housing to be push with ceiling. BARHANGERS The housing is equipped with pre-installed adjustable barhangers to locate the housing between joist with 16” to 24” space. The special design of the barhangers allows easy ceiling installation of the housing. JUNCTION BOX Pre-wired junction box with 7 1/2” knockouts with pryout slots and (4) romex knockouts with built-in strain relief to hold wire in place without any connectors. Junction box is equipped with grounding wire. Listed for through branch circuit. LISTINGS UL/cUL Listed for feed through and damp location. LAMP & SOCKET Medium base porcelain with nickel plated copper screw shell socket. Maximum of 75W. PLASTER FRAME 22 guage die-formed galvanized mounting frame with regressed locking screw for securing barhangers. INSTALLATION - 7 1/2” height allows the fixture to be installed where 2x8 joist exists - Housing can be removed from plaster frame for junction box access - Housing can be adjusted vertically to accommodate 1/2“ to 1” thick ceiling - Housing comes with 4 pre-positioning nails for ease of installation - Comes with quick connectors which makes wiring connection easy. No wire nuts necessary.

    • HOUSING - Die-formed all aluminum construction for maximum heat dissipation and rust protection. Adjusts vertically in plaster frame to accommodate up to a 2" ceiling.
    • SOCKET - Medium base screw shell porcelain socket snaps into trim to allow usage of different lamp types, as well as proper and consistent lamp positioning.
    • THERMAL PROTECTION - Standard thermal protection device guards against improper installation, over-lamping and misuse of insulation material.
    • JUNCTION BOX - is UL listed for through-branch circuit wiring and has 4 - 1/2" KO's, 1 - 3/4" and 4 - Romex knockouts with true pry-out slots and strain clamps.
    • BAR HANGERS - Allow housing to be positioned and locked at any point within a 16" - 24" joist span. They can be used on either long or short axis of housing and can be shortened for 16" joists.They are designed to be hammered directly without using nails or screws and could be fit onto T-bar spline for easy installation and quick alignment.

I found the Elite 5" can to have poor workmanship compared to the original USA light 5" can I have purchased from you over the years. The airtight gasket on the elite can was poorly applied, not uniformed neatly around the can, or it was overlapped causing a high spot which made the can not seat properly on the sheet rock.
