The Leviton 2004 is a ceramic socket extended I use in my recessed can lighting in 17 locations throughout the house.  I found (using infrared thermometer) that the PAR 38 (19W) LED flood stays much cooler with the extender installed.  It permits better airflow around the LAMP as it insures a little air gap between the lamp and fixture.
