Dimming Electronic Transformers
This note pertains to fixtures utilizing an electronic noise-free style 120/12volt transformer and an energy efficient MR16 halogen bulb. The MR16 bulb is rated at 12 volts and is available in a number of wattages, beam spreads, color temperatures. An electronic ballast and MR16 lamp may be operated with a standard wall switch or with a dimmer. When using a dimmer it is very important to use a dimmer that is compatible with an electronic ballast. Dimmers available at retail outlets and wholesale supply stores are designed for specific applications. Product failure and fire may result from using the incorrect dimmer. It is also important to note that some electronic dimmers require a bigger junction box than a standard wall switch. Make sure to plan accordingly and avoid problems or hazards. Do not use dimmers designed for incandescent lamps or magnetic ballasts when dimming an electronic ballast. Violent failures may occur.

This recessed light was the last piece of our renovation and it finished the space off perfectly. The installation hardware included is high quality and there were no missing pieces in the box. Would give it six stars if I could - truly exceptional.
So I am really impressed with USA Light AND these fixtures.
If you need a great 2" recessed can that runs HALOGEN lights, then I don't know how you can beat these. I got a bunch of CSL 2" LED recessed in the walk areas of the kitchen, but for the island, going with the pop of the halogen lights was really the way to go. You just get more flexibility and lighting control with these fixtures.
I ordered the new install cans and saw that the item was really well made, or at least what I would expect for the price. They do come with the quick push connectors which my electrician swears are trouble, so he just cut them off and used wire nuts.
In any case, if we have problems they can be pulled out of the rail fixture and worked on without knocking out drywall.
