For a soft wide angle lighting effect, and a bulb that will last you for years and years, consider using the LED MR-16 Bulb. LED MR-16 bulbs are available in a number of wattages, beam spreads and color temperatures. It is the most versatile bulb/fixture combination available today.
We do not sell dimmers. A magnetic transformer and halogen or LED MR-16 bulb may be operated with a standard wall switch or with a dimmer. When dimming it is very important to use a magnetic dimmer with a magnetic transformer. Product failure and fire may result from using the incorrect dimmer. It is also important to note that some magnetic dimmers require a bigger junction box than a standard wall switch. Make sure to plan accordingly and avoid problems or hazards. Do not use dimmers designed for incandescent lamps or electronic transformer when dimming a magnetic transformer. Violent failures may occur. When using the LED MR type bulbs with this trim do not use a cover glass
NOTE: This item is designed to work in place of an existing socket plate adapter in your housing. If your housing does not have the socket adapter plate, this is not recommended.

As one reviewer wrote, there are no instructions, and the issue is when you are shipped extra parts you don't need, you tend to want to find a way to use them! However, the kit is very well designed and I can't describe the wonderful feeling of ditching those awful LED lights! I know LED's are the "right" thing to do, but they are so stark and just didn't work in our house which has beige toned walls along with different wood furniture from walnut to cherry. My big ask would be to please put in an instruction sheet.
I received two boxes, each containing one item that I ordered. There were no installation instructions and installation was not intuitive. I called the provider of the product (Elite Lighting USA) and spoke with a person who tried to help, but with no sensible solution. Two follow-up calls to resolve the issue have gone unreturned. I am disgruntled that I received no installation assistance and now have two lights that seemingly cannot be safely installed.
Further, I cannot leave No stars as a rating!
Customer service using chat and phone went very well and fast. Called before purchase and needed some installation advice and all was perfect.
