DESCRIPTION
Small aperture low voltage, thermally protected IC rated housing. Designed for new construction. Accommodates up to 50W MR16 lamps. Furnished with preinstalled adjustable bar hangers. Junction box has 4 - 1/2" KO's.
<b><br />HOUSING</b> - High temperature painted 22 gauge deep-drawn single piece housing. Adjusts vertically in plaster frame to accommodate 1/2" to 1" ceiling. Accommodates lamps up to 50watt depending on the trim used.<br /><br /><b>TRANSFORMER </b>- Class H magnetic transformer with enhanced heat dissipating cover attached to junction box cover.<br /> <br /><b>BAR HANGERS</b>- Pre-installed bar hangers allow housing to be positioned and locked at any point within a 24" joist span and can be shortened for 12" joists. Replace worn out /failed transformer. The problem was light bulb connection.
The MR16 lamp sockets do not grip the MR16 lamp tight enough.
The loosest sockets I have ever seen.
This will be no problem, with the trim supporting the bulb. But on a remodeling job, I like to hang the bulbs temporarily for testing, or extra temporary light.
As loose as these are, I will not leave the bulbs hanging, because they would fall out.

Lighting was quality replacement for old unit. Simple to install.
Product was very well built and performed to my expectations.
I simply ordered a couple recessed light housings. Good price, good quality, quick delivery, work as expected. Not much else to say.
Contrarily to the last shipment I received from USALight.com, this latest shipment was well packaged and protected for shipping. It arrived on time (even early), was properly wrapped, product is as advertised and transaction was flawless. Obviously Customer Service paid attention to my last complaint and took appropriate action. I am very favorably impressed. I wish my previous transaction had been as perfectly concluded as this one. I will most probably order from you again. Thank you for listening to your customers.
Overall very happy with these cans, especially the wago-like connectors already attached which makes for easy install.
My one caveat is that if you use standard metal clamps in the KOs for non-metallic cable, you cannot have the screws facing out. There is not enough space to tighten them in that direction -- the screws end up pushing in the housing. Turning the screws sideways works fine -- except in a couple of our very narrow joist spaces (old house reno) where it was almost impossible to get even a short screwdriver in to tighten the screws. But aside from that, very pleased.
